Reception of SSTV with the ISS on October 9, 2024

The ISS on May 9, 2024 has transmitted pictures for radio amateurs, in accordance with the plan of the experiment October 8-14.

Orbit No. 1 - around 11-20 October 9, 2024

It was possible to take partly 2 images from the ISS. In the first image of SSTV, an artificial satellite of the Earth, launched by the USSR on October 4, 1957, is visible. Coding designation of the satellite - "PS-1".

The second SSTV image shows the call sign NA1SS, the headline "Facts about the scientist," and a caption in Russian:

As about reception equipment, I used the sensitive radio station RETEVIS RT-85 and the Opek VU-1503 antenna on the roof of the car. It seemed to me that the reception was much worse than in past years. Perhaps the car antenna degraded, magnetic base or a cable with an adapter.

There were no signs of a signal in St. Petersburg at 145.800 MHz.
