I share a very simple way to repair a magnetic foundation.

At a magnetic base of the type OPEk AM-1024 или Opek AM-1023 (куплены в магазине siriust.ru), либо Opek AM-1025 со временем возникает проблема - начинает изнашиваться край фольги и её края становятся неровными, рваными и острыми. Ставить такое основание на крышу нельзя - поцарапает краску до металла. Похожая проблема отмечается у магнитных Си-Би антенн - но там в основании рвется резиновый диск - чехол.

Repair of magnetic foundation automobile v. Antenna

The following materials will be required
1) double -sided tape
2) a piece of plastic film or rubber in size of about 120 x 120 mm.
3) scissors

1. We try on the film to the diameter of the base.
   

2. To the plane of the magnetic base, I glue 3 pieces of bilateral tape directly to the foil.
   

3. Scissors cut out a circle from the film along the diameter of the base
   

4. In order to better fix the edges of the film, it is necessary to cut 6 small pieces of tape and glue them to the base
   

5. I remove the protective paper from double -sided tape and stick the film
   Repair is completed.

Connection of the cable to the radio station - cable assembly from the SMA connector on UHF.

SMA SMA STETER - PL -259 plug (UHF) was ordered in the Chinese store on AliExpress.

One “barrel” of SMA was also used, which is available to buy both AliExpress and the Juno market.

The antenna 144/433 OPEK UV-1503 works extremely well. I see a signal on the Websdr waterfall.
For reception in the city, the Baofeng UV -5R radio station does not work directly, I don’t say very much, 3 - deep QSB are possible to assess. The reason is the drop in sensitivity due to the overload of the entrance that is devoid of filters. The radio station can operate near the amateur radio reception (no further than 10 km). Of course, the use of an external automobile antenna significantly increases the maximum range of the radio station.

This repair method can be used for the base of the SIB Antenna.
