SSTV Experiment from ISS on October 8-14 '2024

The International Space Station will transmit images in SSTV mode from October 8 to October 14, 2024 inclusive.

Introduction: SSTV is the oldest amateur radio standard for transmitting still images. Color pictures are transmitted as sound waves. They can be received using any amateur radio station in the 2 meter range and an application for Android, Windows, Mac or Linux.

Expedition 72 to the ISS will begin transmitting slow scan television (SSTV) from the transmitter that was used for APRS, but now on a frequency of 145.800 MHz. All radio amateurs are invited to participate.

ARISS SSTV Award

SSTV imagery from the International Space Station is scheduled to be transmitted from October 8 to 14, 2024. This time, the "ARISS SSTV Award" will be presented. To qualify for this award, at least one image from the session must be received and decoded. The quality of the received image does not have to be perfect, but it must be good enough to be identified.

To receive the award, you must fulfill the following conditions:
