Description of the Yermak report format

The Ermak format is designed to send reports on participation in all -Russian sports competitions in short waves. Ermak is the only permissible format for providing reports on KV competitions, for which it is possible to receive sports categories.

The main feature of Ermaka before CabrILLO - it allows you to use Russian letters (Cyrillic) in the fields of the cap.

To form a report in the Ermak format, you need to export the QSO list from the magazine program to the Cabrilo v.3 format file and then fix the hat in it.

  1. First of all, you need to export to the Cabrilo format in the program with a list of QSO (usually this menu item is called "File" - "Export").

  2. Then open the resulting file in the text editor of the notebook and correct the hat (name of the competition, data about the participant, etc.).
    Mandatory fields:
    START-OF-LOG
    CONTEST
    CALLSIGN
    CATEGORY-OPERATOR
    CATEGORY-MODE
    CATEGORY-POWER
    LOCATION
    NAME
    ADDRESS
    OPERATORS
    *END-OF-LOG

  3. Fill in the fields CONTEST, CATEGORY-OPERATOR, CATEGORY-MODE, CATEGORY-POWER в соответствии с кодовым названием контеста (конкурса, соревнования по установлению радиосвязей) и подгруппой, в которой Вы участвуете, видом излучения (PH/CW), группой мощности (HIGH/LOW), в которых Вы заявляетесь.

  4. Field LOCATION заполните в соответствии с Правилами соревнований. Например, данное поле может содержать код большого QTH Locator.

  5. In the field NAME должно быть ваша Фамилия Имя Отчество.

  6. In the field ADDRESS - Ваш почтовый адрес.

  7. Fill in the field correctly OPERATORS: It indicates the surname, name, patronymic, year of birth, sports category, call sign, category of radio station. The separator is a comma or a gap. For example:

    OPERATORS: Иванов Иван Иванович 1975 КМС R1BBB 1

  8. Carefully check the QSO section. It should contain not only a report of 59 59, but a full control number of radio exchange, first transmitted (TX), then accepted (RX). Fields are separated by one or more gaps. An example of a correctly designed QSO field:

    QSO: 14175 PH 2020-04-26 1358 R1BBB 59 SP01 UA1AAA 59 LO12 0

  9. Check with the search that the report does not contain symbols of a single or double quotation marks.

  10. Save the text file in the ANSI encoding (Win-1251).

  11. The name of the file should not contain spaces and characters of the Cyrillic alphabet. It is better to specify your call sign as an estate of the file.

  12. Download the report on the site on which reports are accepted or send by e-maIL to the address specified in the rules of the competition.
