The program for building the route profile is designed for Android OS.

In January, I conducted radio communications in the VHF range of 433 MHz at a range of up to 20 km, using a program to calculate the “ elev profile profile to select a position to select a positionation PrOFILE ".

The acquaintance was at home, and I traveled from the Antenna Autonomous Office on the roof, in the town Krasnoye Selo (height 100 meters above sea level). The capacities of stations on both sides are 5 watts. To determine the most profitable point on the map, I used Elevation, because "By eye" the top of the mountain is not visible due to numerous private houses overlooking the area.

Using the program

The assignment of the start and end points

Origin - Starting point
destination - end point

In the right corner, the extreme icon is to set the type direct .

Then, with a long press on the map we set the starting and then the final point.

In the lower part of the window, height profile between the start and end points will be built.

Greething point is indicated by -star marker,
inferior - -red.

If you click on the profile, there will be a -yellow marker indicating the current position on the highway (it is convenient to find obstacles to the spread of radio waves of VHF).

Switching maps

You can switch the type of card used: a diagram or satellite by pressing a button with the image of the layers.

• Road - topographic map
• Satellite - Assistant Map from a satellite
• Terrain - topographic map with relief designation
• Hybrid - a hybrid of a card from a satellite and topographic.

Adding an intermediate point (relay)

If there is an obstacle between the receiver and the transmitter, the signal passage is impossible. To solve the problem, a relay is used, which is located at a favorable point, from which the direct visibility of the transmitter and receiver is ensured.

To add a waybill:

• First set the start and final points (Origin, destinaTion)
• Click on the screen and hold your finger - select the menu item Add as a waypoint

The program can be used not only for calculating the VHF radio communications, but also for planning on hiking routes. For example, if there are water barriers in the way, without pedestrian bridges or crossings, passage is not possible. So, the cable bridge over the Neva is intended only for the movement of road transport.

Violet marker appears with a long press on the card, designed to indicate the current place of interest and is not used in calculations.
