Wended Broadcasting in the Pskov Region 1945-1990

Before the collapse of the USSR in the Pskov region, wired broadcasting prevailed. A field wire was in charge of each house, according to which one radio program was broadcast. I was told that broadcasting was mainly local. Concerts were transmitted at the request and other music. But there were Moscow inclusions for the news. The residents of the Pskov region really liked the radio.

Broadcasting on medium and long waves

In the late 90s, walking around the village, one could still hear a local resident or resident who screaming "to the fullest" radio receiver. On medium and long waves, a powerful broadcast of the Mayak radio station was carried out - 198 kHz and 549 kHz. The reception was almost round -the -clock.
Since September 2018 "Lighthouse " on the SV and DVs turned off, long and medium waves are significantly impoverished. Also, in 2014 turned off "Radio youth", which was later called " JUFM ".

In 1990-2000

Broadcasting by wires was recognized as unprofitable, replacement is proposed - to listen to the Radio of Russia on VHF in the ORT 65.8-74 ​​MHz range. When I was visiting the village of palaces, I saw with my own eyes a domestic radio receiver with a wide low case, buttons and power supply from the network that dusted on the chest of drawers. Local residents did not include the radio receivers so often, because, it seems to me, the format of Radio of Russia was different from the local radio and Radio Lighthouse - less pop, there were no concerts and songs on the request.

2000-2016

On the "Soviet" VHF OIRT, the Radio of Russia radio station was heard for some time. (It could be taken on imported cassette radio tape recorders with a “expanded” VHF range of 64-108 MHz).

In the "Foreign" FM range of CCIR 87.5-108, nothing was heard except hissing and individual bearing with "silence" (apparently, ~~-free interference ~~ carrying from 4 and 5 television channels). Only on a very good receiver Degen De-1103 during the near "Tropo" could Pskov, Pushkin Mountains, Dedovichi or Great Lukes, Novosokolniki could be accepted. These radio stations broadcast from high masts: "Road Radio", "Retro FM", "Radio Vanya", "Europe Plus".
Naturally, local residents living in the villages in the depths of the Pskov region did not use sensitive DX radio receivers, did not accept the broadcasting at all, but watched the TV, in analogue and then in digital format with TV relayers. Mainly, these were entertainment programs. For example, a humorous "full house" on Saturdays. Then, satellite TV - "Tricolor" with many television interest programs, such as "Hunting and Fishing" appeared. Nobody listened to the radio.

2016-2021

The first transmitter "Radio of Russia" in the FM range is included in Pskov October 1, 2016.

The remaining transmitters located in the district centers were commissioned later - at the end of 2020. For example, the transmitter in Dedovichi 103.6 MHz was launched October 7, 2020.

"Radio of Russia" is available in several copies at different frequencies. The format of "Radio of Russia" has become the most universal - from morning charging, news - to historical stories, health talks, information about politics, interviews with musicians. In my opinion, "Radio of Russia" has become more neutral: less politics, more useful information from history, for health, about travel, art, culture, sports.

Local inserts on the air "Radio of Russia" (broadcasting of the Pskov Regional Studio of the GRK "Pskov")

On August 21, driving along the highway in the Porhov area, at the frequency of Radio of Russia at about 11 a.m. I heard a local “insert” on the air (Dedovichi transmitter 103.6 MHz FM).

There was a program about the animal world of the Pskov region. In it, in particular, it was about a rare yavrebin owl, which "sometimes flies from the north to our Pskov region, where it nests on the trees broken by the wind - high stumps." Also, in an interview of a journalist with a specialist in the animal world of Pskovshchina, the question raised why in the Bezhanitsky region there were fewer vipers and herbal frogs. The scientist replied that the reason is to increase the number of white storks living in the region. “White stork is extremely gluttonous,” the scientist noted in conclusion.
I did not find more regional inserts on Radio of Russia.

So in the Pskov region, the translation of the Radio of Russia transmitters ended from the range of 65.8-74 ​​MHz to the range of 87.5-108 MHz.
