Description of the SET/FILTER command for the VE7CC cluster

A radio amateur has the opportunity to configure the CC cluster to suit his needs. All filters are divided into two large groups:

  • band and type filters
  • filters by country

There are commands for reading (SH/FILTER) and writing (SET/FILTER).

Default filter setting - show all ranges: includes DX spots from 160 up to 10 meters, all types and countries. To reset filter settings ranges to their initial state, you should run the command SET/FILTER DXBM/OFF to reset all filters, including country and territory filters -SET/FILTER/OFF
To display the current range filter setting, run the command SH/FILTER DXBM.

Cluster filters (VE7CC) by country

(For DXCC country prefixes, see file CTY.DAT).

Settings Meaning
SH/FILTER Shows all user filter settings
SH/FILTER ‹aaa› Show filter settings by its name, where ‹aaa› is the filter name
Example:SH/FILTER DOC- show filters by country of origin (DOC)
UNSET/FILTER ‹aaa› Disable the filter named ‹aaa›.
Example:UNSET/FILTER DXCTY
SET/FILTER ‹aaa›/PASS This filter allows spots that originate from the country ‹aaa›, for example:
SET/FILTER S5,SP/PASS- withdraw spots from the countries of Slovenia, Poland
SET/FILTER ‹aaa›/‹p/r› ‹bbb› Create a custom filter, where:
‹aaa› - filter type:
DOC- country from which the DX was sent (O-origin C- country),
DOS- state of location of DX,
AOC- for news, the prefix of the region from which the spot came,
AOS- for announcements, the US state from which the spot came,
DXCTY- DX from CounTrY, i.e. from country, same as DOC
DXSTATE- DX from US State/Canadian Province. Example:
SET/FILTER DXSTATE ME

p= PASS,r- REJECT
‹bbb› = Country designations according to the DXCC list separated by commas

Example No. 1
SET/FILTER DXCTY/PASS 4J,4L,EK,ER,EU,EX,EY,EZ,UA,UK,UN,UA2,UR,YL,LY,ES this command will set a filter to display spots indicating radio stations from the states of the former USSR.
Example No. 2:
SET/FILTER DXCTY/PASS SM,OH,LY,YL,EX the filter shows spots from the Baltic countries.
To apply the filter to previously received spots, run the command:SH/MYDX
SET/FILTER DXBM Range filter, see below
UNSET/FILTER Resets all filters to their original state. By default, REJECT bands (DXBM): 2-CW,1-CW,70-CW,2-SSB,1-FM,70-FM,60-SSB,2-FM,1-SSB,70-SSB,MW-MW
UNSET/FILTER DXBM Resets all range filters to their original state.
VE7CC cluster filters by range

Using filters, you can enable display of ranges that are interesting, or disable ranges that are disturbing.
For this purpose in the team SET/FILTER DXBM keywords used PASS- skip,REJECT- reject.
After the word "reject" there is a list of ranges in the form of numbers or numbers with the prefix "MTR", for example 160, 80MTR, 20MTR.
For example, to add spots from a range of 6 meters to the output, you should enter the command SET/FILTER DXBM/PASS 6MTR".
To disable the output of CW spots on the 80 and 40 meter bands, enter the command SET/FILTER DXBM/REJECT 80-CW,40-CW
If you need to specify the type of work, indicate the range as a number (80, 40, 30, etc.).
Feature: the 50 MHz band is coded with the number 6, and the 70 MHz band is coded with the number 2,

for example, 30 means the entire 10 MHz range. Examples:

Disable the output of spots of all HF and VHF bands, except for the HF band of 20 meters, show DX spots:
UNSET/FILTER
SET/FILTER DXBM/REJECT 160,80,70,40,30,17,15,12,10,6,4MTR,2,1-
SH/MYDX

Disable spots on all HF and VHF bands and turn on spots on the 2 meter SSB band, show DX spots:
UNSET/FILTER
SET/FILTER DXBM/REJECT 160,80,70,40,30,20,17,15,12,10,6,4MTR,2,1
SET/FILTER DXBM/PASS 2-SSB
SH/MYDX

About species: when selecting a certain type, this does not mean that spots will be displayed by type of radiation. There will be a switching of sections of the ranges, for filtering by frequencies within the ranges, and not by type of work. (For example, the CW keyword enables the display of spots in the lower part of the xxx00 - xxx40 kHz range, and the SSB enables a spot filter for areas in the upper part of the xxx130 - xxx200 kHz range).
