Essora Eos SonicDE is a Linux operating system based on the unstable version of Debian, but with an improved appearance.

Essora is a “light” distribution and runs on both outdated and new PCs.

Key Features: High performance with low weight, minimalistic interface with pre-configured Openbox and JWM window managers, support for more than 12 languages, and a basic set of tools including a file manager, terminal, image viewer and audio player. Fully customizable work environment.

Supported languages include Russian.

In the Essora Eos SonicDE distribution, the developer combined minimal requirements for the hardware environment, a small distribution size and an outstanding appearance.
The basis of the distribution is Linux Debian "Trixie". There are two distribution options that differ in the service management system

with SystemD - if there is "Eos" in the name. In terms of service management, it corresponds to the classic Debian OS.
without SystemD - if the distribution name contains the word "Excalibur". This version essentially repeats the Devuan OS.

The ISO file size is 1.8 GiB. In boot mode from removable media (USB or DVD-R), there is a mode for loading almost the entire distribution into RAM, which increases responsiveness in Live mode.

The strong difference between this distribution and the others is its improved appearance, which in my opinion is superior to Windows 10/11 and macOS.
Also included in the package are games for Linux and an application for listening to Internet radio stations with ready-made sets of radio stations by country.

PC management in Linux Essora Eos SonicDE is simplified compared to classic Debian, for example, logging in at boot without a password, setting up a video card, processor, etc. Which brings Linux closer to Windows 10/11 in terms of ease of setup for an untrained user. I would consider the disadvantage that the Terminal program is not so easy to find. I also didn’t like the obsessive mention of “Essora” in the names of all applications.
