To monitor the sound of an Internet radio station while recording the original audio stream, run two instances of VLC player in parallel:
1) In the first instance of VLC, start recording the broadcast as described above.
2) In the second instance of VLC, which is used for sound control, start playing the network stream: in the menu "Media" go to "Open URL">"Enter network address"(enter the URL of the audio/video streaming source) and click the button "Play".

Example:
1) Allow multiple copies of VLC to run as written in the third paragraph from the top.
2) On the page "Radio Maria" there is a page "Live" and on it there is a link "Backup player 1" - you need to copy it (right mouse button) to the clipboard.
3) Launch the first copy of VLC
4)Media - Open URL- Source -"Network"- enter the network address (URL)
7) Select below "Convert (Alt+O)".
