What is APRS?

APRS is a system for transmitting messages and geographical GPS coordinates based on Packet (AX.25 Protocol) and AFSK 1200 modulation. APRS is designed to work in a small territory of one region, in the field of one digital relay (DIGI) or a group of relans connected to the network.
