The YPC99 endoscope does not connect to a smartphone via Wi-Fi. Solving the problem.

Problem with YPC99 wireless endoscope

The endoscope consists of 3 parts:
1) camera with backlight. A 5-meter long cable is connected to it; at the other end there is a microUSB male output connector for supplying power voltage and outputting images from the camera.
2) “control unit” with the inscription Wi-Fi with a microUSB socket from the camera, indicated by the inscription “Camera” and a second socket for charging “Charger”.
3) A short microUSB - USB type A male cable for connecting the “control unit” to the mains charger.

The endoscope comes with a small paper instructions on one sheet, which contains QR codes for downloading software for Apple iOS and Google Android. Application download links are not working! An attempt to find similar programs was unsuccessful. When connecting via Wi-Fi from a smartphone, no program for viewing cameras sees the device!

The second problem is the presence of a “control unit” with a battery and a Wi-Fi transmitter, which can be connected to from a smartphone. The control unit gets very hot when charging, the battery takes a long time to charge (2 hours) and discharges very quickly (15 minutes). Thus, using the endoscope in this form is impossible.

Solving the problem with the YPC99 endoscope

1) You need to purchase an adapter from microUSB female to USB type C male. Its price is about 150 rubles.
2) You need to connect the USB cable from the camera to the smartphone via an adapter. I note that the “Wi-Fi control unit” is not needed.
2) Install the program on your Android smartphone "USB Camera Viewer" (application developer Homesoft, LLC):
Download USB Camera Viewer from Play Market
Find similar programs in RuStore

3) Launch the program and in the upper right corner click the gear to select a camera.

The image from the endoscope camera begins to be reproduced on the smartphone screen.

At the same time, not only the image works in the endoscope, but also the backlight and brightness control on the wire.
