What are intangible values?

5 September 2023 13:53

Intangible values - they are also spiritual. An attempt to understand them.

Why is this article needed?

To understand the spiritual, and not just in the "mortal"* material.

The value of intangible values

All material is subjected to wear or destruction, death. The material world is in the constant process of repair and self -healing (on the road, workers shift the asphalt, in return the mouse eaten, a new generation of storks, etc.). The possibilities of nature and man are limited and therefore spiritual values come to the fore, which, firstly, are less susceptible to changes and “erosion” and, secondly, give a support point, a guideline in a rapidly changing world. One of the bright lighthouses for many of us is faith in Christ, and we do not lose this guideline from the sight. In order not to move away from spiritual values, you need to periodically return, approach them. For many, intangible values are the last hope “After all, all the bridges are burned for us” (C) Yuri Vizbor.

What are intangible values?

In my opinion, it is possible to divide intangible values into simple and complex.

Simple intangible values

Simple intangible values exist initially, arise faster than complex ones.

Mutual spiritual values
1) Friendship
2) Love
3) respect and recognition of the interests of another personality
4) Communication
5) readiness to help , attention, care and help
6) The desire to create warmth and comfort (family values)
7) Patriotism , altruism, heroism.

Individual spiritual values - belong to personality traits:
1) use, personal victories
3) ees, projects, plans
4)
5) Meniya
6) intelleck
7) Pamy.

Individual spiritual values disappear at the death of a carrier - a person.

Complex intangible values

Complex intangible values are not inherent in the personality initially, they must be supported or trained.
The achievement and maintenance of complex spiritual values require efforts.

1) Vera , the ability to turn to an invisible, intangible, spiritual search.
2) Humility , the adoption of circumstances as they are, the lack of anger, despondency, the even state of the psyche, but not insensibility.
3) Open and pure thinking , readiness for the perception of phenomena such as they are, and not how you want to see.
4) honesty - the ability not to lie (say a lot of words in denunciation or self -justification, etc.). External manifestations correspond to the internal state.
5) Patience , the ability to undergo deprivation and trouble for a long period of time, stoicism.
7) Self -restraint (asceticism) - "Everything is allowed to me, but not everything is useful", power management and information hygiene.
8) Consciousness - the ability to distant, for many days and years in advance, the miscalculation of actions ("look at the actions from the end").
9) Gratitude and gratitude, thanks for any events are bad and good that cannot be calculated.
10) forgiveness - the ability to forgive their enemies their attacks in the past.
11) Forgiveness of oneself - the ability to forgive yourself your mistakes through faith (after the confession of sins and sins of God at the sacrament of confession).
12) Participation, good deeds for ludy (alms, help in word, volunteering), priroda (maintaining ecology) and vilitary (feed, treatment).
13) Sobority - free unity of people on general principles.
14) Nadezhda - a condition in which a person stops worrying and believes in the best, favorable outcome for him.

Temporary, constant and choice between them

Religion believes that the material world in which we live is temporary. Only spiritual values are constant. Depending on the choice of a person, his life trajectory changes either towards material or spiritual. At the same time, growth occurs in a particular plane - in the case of material, there is an increase in wealth and power, and with another - spiritual knowledge and grace. In a well -known parable about the young man to whom Jesus advised to sell his estate: "Jesus told him: if you want to be perfect, go, sell your estate and give it to the poor; and you will have a treasure in heaven; and come and follow me" .

When choosing a material one, a person becomes to one degree or another a slave to things - firstly, thoughts are occupied by ideas about their purchase, then time takes their use, finally selling or warehouse, or care for things. Ultimately, a person needs money - it means that you need to work hard, or create an infrastructure for mining money (private enterprise, a bank contribution). Rarely anyone manages to combine the material with the spiritual - there is no time left. For example, in the morning a person is in a hurry to work, and in the evening falls to sleep. What does this lead to? To an increase in the pace of life and a change in the soul, i.e. We can say that “professional deformation”, when close and distant people are either not of interest, or are perceived only as an obstacle and irritation arises on them (remember displeased drivers). As a result, a person loses friends and relatives. As they say, sins accumulate in his soul, and he does not understand that it is wrong.

Spiritual development

The development of spiritual in itself - resembles training or hikes on foot. A person reduces the pace of life and more attentive to others, draws attention to their problems, solves them. In the global situation in the world - the adoption of it as it is, if it is impossible to change. The lack of the need to combat reality saves time - the lack of the need to study news, viewing TV and nerves because The cliche, installations imposed from the outside do not come. The saved time can be directed to prayers. In them, we must not only ask God, but also thank Him. Gratitude is a sense of gratitude, the opposite of dissatisfaction. We thank the little that we have temporarily, not forever. Such a response reduces stress and improves well -being, brings pleasure from life. It is no coincidence that in many families it is customary to pray before the start of the meal. If life is difficult and hopeless, there is hope for the best. If not in this world. Humility is the opposite of anger, i.e. Acceptance. By practicing humility, we will notice an improvement in health. Patience is the ability to wait, including if we suffer disappointment and do not receive satisfaction. Patience allows you to endure trouble, and also not be annoyed on others with improper actions on their part. Patience can be compared with the constancy and power of the mountains that are not subject to wind and rains. However, we should not be satisfied with ourselves. Since pride or closeness from others is the main of the sins. Instead, we must be honest with ourselves, eradicate the shortcomings. Perfection means following principles. You can take, for example, your saint, study his life and try to imitate him, taking his principles. Ultimately, faith for everyone is the greatest value, without it a person loses control of life. Faith is not based on the real events taking place here and now - and Les on our feeling that is superior to reality and ourselves. The highest power will help us overcome circumstances and difficulties, primarily through the change in ourselves. Faith can also help in severe losses - or with hardships (stoicism). After we did everything right, hope comes for faith - we believe that everything will go in the right direction: as it is necessary, even if circumstances are higher than us (it's ABOVE ME, it does not depend on me above my understanding). By practicing faith, we overcome depression (regret about the past) and anxiety (fear of the future). Since the Christian faith is based on the dichotomy of sin and forgiveness, we believe that after confession in the church and communion, the Lord forgave us sins. In the presence of faith, the insults inflicted on us are rather forgotten - as well as the desire to harm another person with the help of anger disappears. Buddhist monks compare anger with the capture of hot coal in their hands - with the intention of throwing it into another. Whatever happens, you will burn. Internet trolls cause grievances to get power over you through strong emotions that corrode us, steal our time and reduce attention, lead to errors. Mistakes become obvious to everyone and make fun of them. In order not to be upset about this, you need to be able not to justify, but to forgive people. Their conscience is their conscience, if it is dirty, the intrigues are plotting, let God figure it out. And our task is to harmonize ourselves. In order not to be bogged down in digging in the shower, it is better to act through good deeds in relation to loved ones, neighbors - when they ask us about something. Service - this can be a contribution not only to people, but also to the surrounding middle - help, for example, homeless animals. Constantly sacrificing our time and energy, we hope that the good will return to us. (Thanks to participation, you can open more attention to the little things. For example, in my yard there are two red cats, which are difficult to distinguish in appearance). Thus, we seem to take care of plants, but people, or animals act as them. Thus, attention is distracted from obsessive and unpleasant thoughts and proceeds to simple and useful incentives. In the case of religion, its study directs our thinking to training, growth and healing.
